My Ministry

*Using my God given talents to preserve meaning and memories

*Providing kids in need with arts and crafts supplies to be creative

*Blessing others with my creations as I am led

I am very passionate about creativity, and making things meaningful. I am blessed with the ability to use my creativity to help people preserve their memories~ I feel it is a gift that has been given to me to share with others.Being creative is being somewhat lost in the world of technology we are currently living in. People are in a rush, buying things with no significance instead of preserving the meaning and memories in what they already have. Young kids are no longer creating things with their hands, they are often playing video games instead…….I am on a mission to do my part, with what I have been blessed with, to change this.

Using creativity to preserve memories

Opportunities just seem to arise, open doors if you will, to assist people in preserving their memories. When this happens, I feel I  am using my God given talents, to be a vessel, and touch their heart with what I am able to create.  I give much thought and prayer and follow my heart with whatever I create. I pray over each piece while I am creating and a part of me goes with every piece I have made. Sometimes my clients even give me pictures of the recipient so I can be praying for them while I am making something special for them.

example: 9 keepsakes created from a family crib:

“I can’t tell you again how very much the gift that you made meant to me. How typical of my son to do something so special and how wonderful that you have such a talent to bring a gift like that to life. Imagine to have a part of the crib that my sons and all my grandchildren slept in, to be not only a part of my memories, but also, through the jewelry, now a part of my everyday life. Thank you again for your wonderful talent.”     -Penny  from Pa.

Providing Kids in need with Art supplies

Part of the proceeds from items I create go to donating art and Crafts supplies to kids in need, to help give them the tools and ability be creative. I want them to be able to create something with their hands and be able to sit back and look at what they have made, by hand, and feel a sense of accomplishment from it. In addition I am the camp Photographer at Royal family Kids camp for a week each summer where I help to preserve the campers memories. part of the proceeds also go toward covering the expenses of a photo album for each of the kids to take home with them, full of memories of their time at camp.

A new page will be coming in the future, showing the impact on Kids as they have fun creating with supplies that were donated and I have fun preserving their memories!

Blessing people with gifts of my creations

Feeling led to touch peoples hearts with my creations is just a part of who I am and what I do. I consider it an honor and part of a ministry to be able to bless people in this way.

Outside of being creative to help people preserve their memories, I also feel its part of my ministry to bless people that inspire me or others. Often times people are laid on my heart, and put in my path, that I should create something for. Sometimes, even for very prominent people, which takes me way out of my comfort zone! I follow my heart and then have faith that the opportunity will present itself to follow through.
These are a few of the celebrities that I have had the honor to make something for and often times, the thrill to present it to them personally.
Other times it may just be a random gift to someone or donations to non-profits to help them with their efforts in helping others.
In one instance, a gentleman who had previously purchased my Book, admired a creation I had made at a show. We had already discussed the owner of one of the barns. He new the owner as a child, played on his farm and that man had given something from the Niagara way back then. Today he works at the Museum that helps preserve this icon- The Flagship Niagara. I had captured a wonderful picture of the Niagara one day and framed it in local barn wood. Barn wood that was from the barn he knew as a child.
I saw him look at this piece with such awe and admiration that  knew it needed to be in his presence. I knew this creation I had made would be cared for and appreciated with him, and that is important to me. So one day I went to see him, and I just gave it to him.
Dear Linda,  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the framed print of the Niagara- It really meant the world to me! ~ Cal from The Maritime Museum
I am not sure who is more blessed in these situations, when I have the ability to be able to just give one of my creations to someone for no reason unconditionally. I think it might quite possibly be me.
